Meet the author

Hello! I’m Adam Chester, and I live in the quiet town of South Woodham Ferrers with my beautiful wife and our four lively children — three girls and one boy. Our home is full of noise, laughter, muddy shoes, and the kind of everyday magic that only a busy family can create.

This book series was written first and foremost for them. I wanted to show my children that magic isn’t something you have to travel far to find; sometimes it’s waiting quietly in the places you know best, ready to open a door to somewhere entirely new. I hope it encourages every young reader to keep believing in magic, no matter how ordinary the day might seem.

When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me watching sport, exploring new places, or on the sofa lost in a favourite fantasy film or series. Those stories have always felt like old friends, and they’ve shaped the way I see the world: full of possibility, wonder, and the quiet hope that something extraordinary might be just around the corner.
